On February 28th, the Tulcán National Water Secretariat (SENAGUA), led the training process of the Water School. This time, the ALTROPICO Foundation supported the training by helping with the seventh module which thematic is the Climate Change and its effects in Ecuador, this training was directed to the representatives of the water board in Espejo canton. III BIRD FESTIVAL IN SALINAS - IMBABURA
During February 28th and 29th, the III BIRD FESTIVAL took place in Salinas, which is part of Ibarra canton, located in Imbabura province. The main objective of this festival is to develop a census of the birds that exist in this place. This festival will act as a guideline to create environmental awareness and to promote the knowledge of the dry forest birds that belong to the Binational Mira Mataje Basin.
From January 13 to January 19, the congress of the AWA Federation of Ecuador took place in Chical, located in Carchi province. Delegates of the AWA Centers of Ecuador attended to choose the new federation directive that will run from 2020 to 2023. (more…)
ALTROPICO Foundation has been working with youth groups that developed activities related to agroecology conservation and other social topics. One of these groups is the Avekanis Carmelitas Group in El Carmelo Parish, which is in Eastern Carchi close to the Colombian border, on the Amazon slope. (more…)
