Mission

The ALTRÓPICO foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that focuses its efforts on the empowerment of rural communities and the improvement of their living conditions. We do this by encouraging alternative forms of production/income that conserve the biological wealth of the tropics while promoting equal rights between men and women and across different age groups/generations. All of this is accomplished through participative processes of inter-institutional coordination that provide training, technical assistance and advice.
